Laerskool Akasia is a public primary school based in Pretoria with a vision that is aligned with the ever-changing educational landscape and the diverse needs of its learners.

Our newly-revised vision focuses on fostering critical thinking; creativity; and resilience, enabling our learners to thrive as well-rounded individuals who positively impact their communities and beyond.

BRIEF HISTORY:

Laerskool Akasia, established in 1956 as Wintersnest School, has a history of 160 learners and Afrikaans instruction. Its first principal was JB Blignaut, followed by I D Baker and N V Erasmus, and C.P Thantsha as the new principal since September 2023.
